HNT(22) Taming the river wild

Here's another pic from the whitewater rafting trip I went on last weekend.

I wondered how well the raft would respond on a swollen river with surging rapids, but in time I was able to take control with a firm grip, a deep stroke, and a hard, driving rhythm.

Even though I felt spent by the end of the fourth hour, I enjoyed the feeling of taking myself right up to the edge and then pushing just a little beyond.

I'm looking forward to my next ride soon...
